{COMMO} 6.0 - High performance telecommunications program.
1-COMM APR94 COMMO TERMINAL COMM COMPACT FAST DESQVIEW
FILES: commo60.sdn
Author: Fred P. Brucker
Registration: $30-$60 US
{COMMO} is a communications program that you can customize to do
exactly what you need. This is possible through the use of a very
comprehensive macro language that features customized menus and
user-defined commands.
{COMMO} is usable right out-of-the-box, complete with extensive
Online Help and macros for all protocols including external
Zmodem, HS/Link, Kermit and OZBEXT. (All variations of Xmodem
and Ymodem are supported internally.)
{COMMO} is written entirely in assembly language, making it
incredibly quick and compact. It has the features and
capabilities of programs 5-10 times its size. And there is a
heavy emphasis on accuracy and reliability in {COMMO} -- your
macros won't miss prompts and the program won't crash.
Virtually every feature in {COMMO} was thoroughly researched,
carefully designed and has options found in no other program.
For example, the Capture File feature has three different modes
for capturing data received from the serial port.
{COMMO}'s interpretive macro programming environment lets you
write and test macros in the same session, using {COMMO}'s
Internal Editor. Macros execute with lightning speed.
The Dialing Directory, Macro Files and Online Help file are
free-form ASCII text files -- you can edit them with your
favorite editor. Any number of Dialing Directory and/or Macro
Files may be used in a single session.
{COMMO} is mult-tasker aware and runs under DOS, DESQview,
Windows and OS/2. RAM and disk space requirements are tiny
compared to other full-featured comm packages.
A few of {COMMO}'s additional features are:
Excellent host mode, macro supported and totally customizable.
Swap-to-disk with less than 2k of memory in use.
Built-in ANSI-BBS and VT102 emulation. VT220 keyboard support.
ASCII Upload, Capture File, Screen Save, Print Log facilities.
Support for all text display modes, such as 132 columns.
Chat Mode for online sessions with other terminal programs.
Doorway Mode for using DOS applications remotely.
Auto Receive to start downloads (or anything) automatically.
Support for any serial port address and IRQ (including 8-15).
Serial port "signal lights" displayed on the Status Line.
Extensive support for blind users with speech synthesizers.
Also: Scrollback, send/receive translation, ENQ/ACK,
user-defined keys and dozens of other configurable items.
